In the GUI right click on the FW object and select 'convert to gateway'.

hello,

you have to deinstall and reinstall fw1.

at the moment you run "cpconfig" you have to have at least 2 interfaces up
and running with an IP-address. otherwise fw1 thinks this is a secure-server
installation where you only have 1 interface. if you have a gateway you have
to have at least 2 interfaces when you run cpconfig

cheers

        Hello,

I have a CP NG FP3 installed on a SUN Netra with Solaris 8
and a Quad Fast Ethernet Card.

My problem is, that i can't change or install the interfaces
(eri and qfe) as internal. It's simply grayed out.

So communication between the networks is not possible, because
the FW is not allowing communication between two external
interfaces.

Does anyone already know this problem and solved it?

        Thanx in advance,
        Jan
