Hello
I have a problem with correctly configuring MRTG to retreive data from
the CheckPoint SNMP Daemon.
I can get a lot of data from it (memory usage, cpu usage, connections,
etc) but the figures I'm really intersted in is the amount of bandwidth
that is going through my Firewall (I'm running a CheckPoint
SecurePlatform (NG FP3)). I have not been able to get that data out of
my Firewall.
I'm trying to fetch the following data from the SNMP Daemon:
1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.25.5.1.7.2.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.25.5.1.8.2.0:comm
unity@firewall-ip
MRTG is reporting back the values of that OID, but the counter stays at
zero (0). Should I be retreiving another OID, or should I do something
else to cause that counter to report a value that corresponds with my
actual bandwith usage?
I appreciate any solutions, workarounds etc. All I want is to view my
Internet Bandwidth.
B.t.w. I do NOT have a router which I can poll for this so I really need
the FW to report this usage.
Thank you very much for your time!
Yours sincerely,
Jeremy van Doorn
