You may simply use upgrade_export on the source host. It will create
a tgz file , upgrade_import the tgz file on target..

http://www.checkpoint.com/ngupgrade/howtoupgrade/index.html

A couple of things to save time:
1- During export or import, the host nics should be active (disconnected hosts
will fail)
2- Number of nics, and the hostnames should match.
