Please disregard this email. I finally found the document I was looking for
that stated that the AD of the static routes are by default 60 and ospf by
default is 10 so ospf is preferred by default. Thanks

Subject: [FW-1] Nokia IP440 running OSPF, quesetion about Floating
Static Route

I currently have my Checkpoint FW running on a Nokia ip440 which is part of my
OSPF routing domain. I want to add a backup route to a destination through a
box that does not run ospf at all. On a cisco box I would just add a static
route with an administrative distance higher than the AD of OSPF which would
make it a floating static route.

Is there a way with IPSO to specify that a static route is less preferred than
the same route learned via ospf? I saw in the static routing options, that I
could specify a priority, but the help only said the priority is just in case
there are multiple static's to that destination (load balancing tie breaker).
Is this even possible with the Nokia box?

Thanks in advance.
