The client side license is what costs you. I am not running SC, rather
SecuRemote, but everytime we looked at SC, we received quotes for the
clients, never any costs for the gateway side.

Subject: [FW-1] SecureClient/SecuRemote Redundancy
I have a pair of firewalls running on Nokia boxes using VRRP. I recently
purchased SecureClient and installed the license on the primary firewall
module. My problem with this is it does not provide redundancy for my
SecureClient users if my primary were to fail. I do not want to purchase
more SecureClient licenses to go on my backup firewall if at all possible.
My question is, can I put a SecuRemote license on my backup firewall, and if
the primary (licensed for SecureClient) were to fail, could my users with
SecureClient installs log into a firewall licensed only for SecuRemote? If
this does work, would the users have to disconnect and reconnect after the
failover? If I had SecureClient on both firewalls, would failovers be
transparent to the users?
