How do you change the IP Address of the network card that goes to the inside
network? We are using Secureplatform NG FP3.
I have tried first changing it using sysconfig and then connecting to the old
address with Smart Dashboard and after changing it their, I verify the Policy
and then Install it. The Install never finishes and The Smart Dashboard tells
me that it has disconnected from the server and all changes will be lost. Then
I can no longer connect, even after a reboot of the firewall. Restoring the
object_5_0.C and rulebase_5_0.fws files don't help.
Does anyone have any suggestions other than reinstalling? I am working on this
firewall to try and configure it and I can't use the IP it will eventually have
because our current firewall is using it. This Checkpoint firewall is a
replacement for out current firewall, so it is necessary to be able to change
the inside IP address after configuration is complete because having that IP
from the beginning would conflict.
Thanks for any help,
Wendi
