hi,

be careful, ipso 3.5.1 is for IP350 and IP380, with the IP330 you can use
any ipso you want.

ipso 3.7 is released - for *all* nokia IPs (ok, not IP30, IP50, IP70) :-)

cheers

you can easily "downgrade" afterwards (actually you can set the ipso
image you want to boot).

you can use voyager for the upgrade, but I prefer the command line :

- download the ipso.tgz on the firewall module.
- run the following command
newimage -l /yourpath/ipso.tgz -k -R -T

the flags are :
-l /yourpath/ipso.tgz to look for the ipso.tgz file in the correct path
(absolute path).
-k to keep the existing packages active (it means the newimage command
doesn't modify a single quote of your
packages and config files).
-R to run the freshly installed ipso at next boot.
-T to perform a test boot : if the next reboot fails, you simply have to
poweroff poweron to boot again on your
old IPSO version.

if the boot works fine, you have to set in the voyager the boot image.

happy upgrading

Hi,

We have couple of Nokia IP330 on IPSO 3.4.1 FCS 10 running FW1 4.1. To
upgrade to NG FP2, I believe the IPSO needs to be upgraded to a
recommended version of 3.5 FSC6. What is the safest or recommended
method to upgrade the IPSO? Is it straightforward? What are the risks
involved, if any.

Thanks in advance.

Ram
