You haven't really given enough information here, but I can relate some
problems I had with AOL and the http client auth daemon a couple years ago with
FW-1 4.1. It turns out that AOL uses caching servers for all http requests (how
they were able to determine that http traffic on port 900 was in fact http -- I
have no idea), so when AOL users would authenticate with the http client auth
daemon, the cache server would be the authenticated IP -- not the user!
The workaround - use SSL with the client auth daemon. AOL doesn't cache that.
(since it's encrypted, caching it would be pointless)
