[FW-1] logging - re-established after cable disconnect?

Can somebody please confirm the different behaviour of logging between
versions 4.1 and NG
I believe that if you disconnect the cable between a FW and its
management/log-server
in version before NG (4.x) the logging is stored locally until the FW
deamon is started again
and in NG the connection back to the log-server is re-established as soon
as the cable is
re-connected?
