I need to know the setup configuartion.The setup is
like this,i have a Router (cisco 2500 series ) ,check
point NG FP3 firewall,DMZ(172.16.1.0 network ) ,LAN
(10.10.1.0 network ) .
I got a leased line (512k from ISP with CIR as 512k
).They gave IP address as 1.2.3.1 to 10 .
The firewall external IP address is 1.1.1.1
/255.255.255.252
Can you tell me how is the setup .
the network is like this
Internet--->Leased line --->Serial int of Cisco Router
---> Eth inte of Router -->Firewall---DMZ and
LAN .
I need the setup ,routing rules since i'm confused
with the Router's ethernet address which will be
connected to the firewall ext address.
Since we normally give the Private IP address like
192.168.x.x like that to the Eth interface and public
IP address to the serial interface given by the ISP .
We know that the Checkpoint external gateway uses the
public IP address ,so in this scenario how can i
connect this Eth interface of the Router which is
having a Private IP address to the external gateway of
Check point firewall .
How can set the gateway address to the checkpoint
external NIC card .
I need to know routing tables to be entered in the
Router and also step by step procedure .
I can configure the rules in the Check point regarding
incoming and outgoing ,
but i need to setup IP addresses for the Router and
the Checkpoint so that all the LAN traffic can go to
firewall and then to the Router eth interface of the
Router and from there to the serial intface of the
Router and to internet
Help with the guidelines or give any sample config
documents which will be very helpful for me .
I need that for my network urgently.
