No, this is impossible to do at this time. I suggest re-visiting your written
security policy, and using a solution that can be scanned, such as ftp if this
is a concern for you. Right now the PCAnywhere streams equate to a "covert
channel"

As often , it depends on..
You can transfer all files using the file transfer option of pcAnywhere, so
you could easily transfer viruses as well.
I don't know of any CVP option to scan this type of traffic...

Subject: [FW-1] pcAnywhere via CVP to Trendmicro?
Hi FW1-folks,
a client uses pcAnywhere for remote-supporting some server systems by
external staff. Is it possible to redirect pcAnywhere-traffic to a
Trendmicro-Virus-Protection-Solution via a CVP-Resource to scan
pcAnywhere-traffic for viruses? I know that it is possible with http, ftp
and smtp but is it also possible with pcAnywhere. Or does it make no sense
at all to scan pcAnywhere-traffic for viruses because spreading via
pcAnywhere is not possible?
Thanks,
Christian Osterbrink
