I've resently done it on Linux 7.3 and it all went OK.
Be aware that you need to reinstall all modules, management and GUI client
software. Also a reboot of the module and managment was required and the
initial policy installed was the default. I had to reinstall the current
policy from the managment server once it was all up and working, which took
the firewall out for about 20 minutes.
