The only thing that I've seen that catches you is that if you do a tcpdump on
an interface that is a vlan subinterface, you have to specify the dot1q tag or
nothing shows up in the tcpdump.

Not really. They show up as seperate interfaces in IPSO and in
FW-1, so just click around to set things up and it works.
