Hi John,
I have done a backup and restore of firewall (FP-3) config. on WIN2K.
The process I followed was simple.
1) Backup the NG folder under FW1 folder. If folder size is too big, you
can
skip logs subfolder under NG folder.
2) Install WIN2K and Checkpoint software. Maintain similar directory
structure.
3) Enter licence info.
4) Stop firewall service.
5) Restore the backup.
6) Restart firewall.

Hello,
What files are needed to backup NGAI and restore to
another machine (same platform WINDOWS 2000). In
SecurePlatform there's a script already provided.
Can we use the upgrade_export and then on the new
machine (with NGAI) use upgrade_import ?
