Usually the differ in EOL and TAB/Space conversion - but I was not able

Oh yes, do so. Big trouble ahead otherwise. One problem might be (again)
the firewall object - you might need to delete it and create anew
(loosing all VPN definitions, but that's life... ah... CheckPoint).
