If you use the export tool as shown by Reinhard it dumps all the
checkpoint config out into a .tgz. You can use this config and import on
all platforms, keeping the whole config, SIC, Cert server (if management),
etc.
It's a useful tool and I've used it a few times in the lab and live with
no problems.

Hello Michael,
never ever upgrade a module! there is no need for it. upgrade the manager
and
do a fresh install of the module with the same ip address and name.
reestablish
SIC using the "fw old object" in your gui will not change the vpn cert.
