If you had done an upgrade_export before you had a problem you'd be able to
restore using upgrade_import, but since this isn't the case you have to copy
the files manually. The best way is to 1. create a new management station
with the same version of checkpoint software and then 2. do a CPSTOP, copy
the files into the relevant directories, then CPSTART (or a restart if
you're extra cautious.

The files you need to copy over (on a 4.1 box) are: from $FWDIR/conf copy
rulebases*, objects*, fwauth.*, masters, clients, gui-clients, *.W, *.pf,
product.conf. From $FWDIR/database/ copy InternalCA.DB
For NG you can probably just copy the entire $FWDIR/conf over, skipping the
log directory as it's probably too big.

Nice hint, but doesn't work.
The problem is that I do not have the machine, just a
backup of the Win2k partition. I can read it with my linux
laptop, but I can't run any program on it.
I tried to copy the partition to a new PC, but this is
Windows. Just copying doesn't work, windows doesn't run.
So I have the NG tree, and need to know which Files to
copy or modify.
