If you really have a need to update, why wait... the day will
eventually come so just do it now. At least upgrade the
management to R55 and IPSO to 3.7build32, I haven't read or
experienced any issues with those (but I've just updated Solaris
managements to R55). Maybe leave the Nokia running FP3 unless
switching enforcement to R55 is the reason for this whole
update.

I've been kind of reluctant to take any Nokias to R55 after
reading about that memory leak, flows + sequence verification
and other annoying stuff with AI. Then again most problems can
be fixed with a moment of thinking, text editor and clicking
through knowledge base articles anyway so part of me is telling
me why worry - just do it in the wee hours of the morning and
see where it takes you. Maybe those problems are only with
R54! ;) (Ok, R55's Resolved.pdf didn't add much confidence.)

Take backups and you can just go back to the old if everything
falls apart. Or maybe Check Point and Nokia rollback systems
work.
