[FW-1] Separating Management from Enforcement Module

I have a combined Management Server & Enforcement Module
at release NG-FP1 running under AIX 5.1 on an IBM RS/6000.

My goal is to separate the Management from Enforcement,
moving the Management Server to a Sun/Solaris platform
while keeping the Enforcement Module on IBM/AIX, with both
Management Sever and Enforcement Module eventually being
upgraded from NG-FP1 to NG-AI.

Can anyone suggest plausible scenarios for doing what
I describe above?
