Hi, i´m preparing a migration from FW 1 4.1 to NG . I have prepared a
"test" scenario, where I have replicated the management.
When I run the "pre_upgrade_verifier" to see which rules/objects should I
correct to don´t get problems when I migrate to NG I found that hardly
everything in the
$FWDIR/conf/objects.c file is duplicated . When I connect using the
policy editor I can only see One object with name "host1", but if I
manually edit
the objects.c file I found two entries for each object. The problem is
that there are "differences" between the two entries, so I can´t just
delete one of
the replicated entries. (Usually, the incorrect host has the default
"color" attribute, and the correct one has any other...)!
Is there any tool like "dbedit" for FW1 4.1 or any GUI to edit the
objects.c and select which of the replicated entries would I like to
remove??
Any tool or script for any platform (unix/win/linux/ipso/whatever...)
would be welcome. Remember that i´m looking for a FW1 4.1 tool!!!
P.S. The $FWDIR/database/objects.C is also with the same problem, so
there is no chance to restore and old "objects" file.
