The question here is: What do you really want?, type of enterprise, users,
the implementations that in a future you want to do.
This point is very important, because Checkpoint is a solution for a larger
enterprise, but they have some solutions for mid-size enterprise too., e.g
Safe@office 100 or 225. or Nokia platforms.
Secureplatform (Linux) is a great platform too, in my opinion is better than
Windows, (by administration), and less vulnerable.
Nokia offers solid platforms with FreeBSD OS, but is more expensive,
although IP40 is a great solution.
How you see are many solutions with Chekpoint, but everything depends on
which you want to do.
Good Luck...

Cisco PIX has a very user friendly GUI.
The one thing I can not tolerate about the pix, is the inability to
filter vpn traffic. If you set up a vpn tunnel between two sites, you
can not filter it. It's a bi-directional free for all.
Apart for that, Checkpoint can run on linux and windows 2000, and use as
much network interfaces that the OS allows.
Cisco's High-End pix only supports 8, and costs much more then
checkpoint.
And don't get the low end modules, cause their way to low-end for almost
anything (no DMZ, for instance)
