Even though you cannot uninstall and reinstall XP's TCP/IP protocol in the
traditional sense, you can reset it to its default state by running this
command from the command line:

netsh int ip reset c:\tcpipresetlog.txt

The file at the end has a log of what it did. We've had to run this on a few
pre-R56 laptops that got totally messed up. We always ran it after
SecureClient was uninstalled first. On the two we had to use this command,
we could not get SecureClient working correctly. After running the command,
it installed and worked flawlessly.

FWIW,

Ray

I saw the other person who reported having this trouble as well.
Just to throw in some variation, I'm running SecureClient R56 on XP and
having no troubles. I've run it on two installs, and my boss is running
it as well without any problems.

Good luck!
