Do you have "policy targets" chosen on your install on field? Edge profile
prohibits compilation for certain rules.Also make sure that sms is running
via connecting to the the mgmt web portal via browser.(smsstart to start the
server -smart center management solution) See my previous posting for other
points of failure (HFA04 works though) .Lsmenabler is for the SmartLSM
solution. MAC address field is optional.

p.s. once you compile and install on sms, you might have other problems in
fetching the policy on the edge box (a.k.a. force update) CP has a fix for
that.

I have a SmartCenter Server in Solaris 2.8 with Check Point NG AI R55 HFA_04
installed. When I try to install security policy on VPN-1 Edge device I can
see the
following error message at Audit section in SmartView Tracker:
Error-30011: Policy Error: Policy installation failed.
Communication between SmartCenter and VPN-1 is correct and the device
indentifies the services correctly but no policy from SmartCenter can be
installed.
I have followed all the Check Point instructions for these devices but the
problem
can not be solved. I think that some configuration files on SmartCenter
should be
wrong.
Could you please help me with this strange problem?? Which configuration
files
should be checked??
