I have the same message. I thought it was something to do with not having the
systems name the same as listed in the policy. But the error still appears even
after synchronising the names. When I do a SIC (comms) check from the Object
window the response is 'OK' and I can push policy. Its only when I boot the
firewall so no impact. Resigned to add it to the list of ''funnies' that I can
live with :-(
Cheers, Paul.

Have you tried to run fwm sic_reset

Hi everyone.

When I try to initialize communication between my CheckPoint Manager and
my
CheckPoint gateway, I'm getting this error message:

Fetching Security Policy From: x.x.x.x

sic name for x.x.x.x is null

Management rejected fetch for this module - sic name does not match.

Policy Fetch Failed

I have try to push the policy from the CP Manager as well as try to fetch
the policy from the gateway. When I installed the CP Manager, I made a
mistake and install it as an enterprise version instead of express. does
that make a difference? And inside the CP manager object.. I have changed
it
from Enterprise to Express..

I have CP NG with AI R55 installed

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced,

Dennis
