I can answer only part of this, the GMT offset part.

If you're not sure what the offset is for your area, double-click the time in
your windows task bar (assuming you're using W2k or XP), select the time zone
tab, and it should tell you your GMT offset. For example, Texas is GMT-6

Depending on what CP platform you're using, there's a place to configure that.
SPLAT puts that setting in the webgui, in the Device section, Date and Time tab

Good Day ladies and Gents,

I have a problem with my Check Pont management Station and Nokia IP530
Firewall. I am setting up a rule to allow certain machines to go out to
the internet at a specified time.

My management station and firewall Time Zones are Eastern Standard Time.
When I set up the rule and add in the time settings the machines are
unable to go to the internet if I leave out the time zones they can.

When I went to checkpoints Website they say make sure the management
server and firewall are in the same time zone "which they are" and
synchronize their time zones "which I don't know how to do"

Check point places reference saying make sure both management station
are using a GMT offset "now that gets me lost"

Any help will be appreciated

Regards,
