Hi there,
I have an NG AI cluster with two firewalls. Each is Solaris 8. They
run High Availability, New Mode.
Several times a day (4-6) I get an alert that the primary node has
become "disconnected". Specifically I have the SmartCenter Server set
to alert me for disconnects, so I get an e-mail:
28Jul2004 9:15:20 192.168.1.1 < useralert product: System
Monitor; System Alert message: myfw1 is disconnected; Object:
10.1.1.1; Event: Exception; Parameter: Status connection; Condition:
is not connected; Current value: disconnected;
(Name/IPs changed)
Now, I'm wondering a few things...
Did this cause a failover from the primary to the secondary. Any way
I can tell when that shifts from node1 to node2?
What caused the disconnection? It is only node1 that this happens to.
And node1 and node2 are configured identically. But node1 is the
primary handling all the traffic. But CPU and memory all look normal.
This even happens at night during low use.
It tends to remain disconnected for 10-30 seconds, then I see in
SmartView Tracker, a log that it gets reconnected.
Any help would be appreciated,
Shane
