That would make sense....but CheckPoint doesn't allow that. If you
edit the cluster member you'll see that there is no Advanced, or SNMP
tabs. I confirmed with CheckPoint support that the SNMP strings are
not editable via the GUI when the firewalls are clustered. They
pointed to some KB article that basically said you can't SNMP to a
"cluster" so why let you configure it? I argued that you can't SNMP
to a cluster, but you can to each member, so put the configuration
there.
Anyway as of this release you have to do it in the snmp.C file.
