Can anyone provide some insight on how to change the secondary management
station IP address
Mgmt station is Windows 2000 NG FP3.
Below are the steps I would think to take, but would like a second, third,
fourth.....opinion.
1) I've generated license for the new address.
2) Log into the Primary and change the Secondary Mgmt object to the new IP
address. Save the policy, but do not push. Close the GUI.
3) On the Primary, Open the SmartUpdate, open the License Repository, and
see if the new license got automatically placed in there (probably not).
Import the file into there, by right-clicking with in the License
Repository and importing the license file. Once it's in the repository,
do a refresh of the objects within the License screen and see if the new
Check Point object has changed to reflect the new IP. If not, right-click
on the new license you imported and attach it to the secondary. Do a
refresh again.
4) Reboot the Secondary Management Station
5) Log into the Primary and push policy
6) Synchronize the management stations
7) Test failover of management stations?
