Yes, it's treated just like a regular firewall rule. Keep one disabled until
it's needed and then push the policy. No reboot or restart needed.

Subject: [FW-1] FloodGate-1 QoS Policy Rule
Date: Fri, 27 Aug 2004 15:18:39 +0100
Hi,
I read the FloodGate documentation and it appears that the QoS mechanisms
are based on one or several rules defined by the administrator.
Are the changes in the rules applied on the fly or do I need to
restart/reboot the service/server or at least recompile the rules.
I intend to design a set of rules for a normal use and a set of rules for
worst conditions (less bandwith).
Then I'd like to be able to switch the QoS policy from one set to the other
in order to fit the available bandwith but without rebooting the firewall.
Is that possible with FloodGate ?
Thanks
Nicolas
