Does anyone have a pointer to _useful,_ _detailed,_ documentation
of how to configure alerts? Preferably, with some working examples?
When a "user defined" script fails, is this logged anywhere? How do
I even know it's trying to use it or what is wrong?

There is a little information on the mail "script," "internal_sendmail,"
but little on the pop-up or SNMP scripts. All it says about the SNMP
script is to put the IP address... somewhere. And again, my email "script"
isn't working. How do I debug this?

The Check Point attitude seems to be, "It's a GUI. Who needs to actually
tell you how it works."
