Guys,

I have CP SmartCenter running on WinNT (don't laugh). I'm trying to set up
the MAIL alert but the FW-1 "internal_sendmail" command isn't working for
me. Neither is "sendmail" for that matter. Any (simple) ideas?

how is the complete command that you have there?

should be:
internal_sendmail -s <subject> -t <yourmailserver> -f from AT user DOT at to AT
user DOT at

cheers
