Hi,
I'm quite new with checkpoint and have following questing.
We have 2 nokia IP440 firewalls with checkpoint R55 with managment server
installed on it, one is our live firewall the other is a hot standby.
Now we are going to use the hotstandby as a new firewall on another location,
but we will use only one managment server for controling the two.
If i'm wright i have to following steps to get it to work:
- reset SIC at the FW-modules
- rename the servers (have now the same name + ip's)
- install the new managment server (win2003)
- setup the new SIC
- configure the managment server
- from the upgrade tools i should be able to export and import the
policys from the original server to the new extra one.
- deinstall the managment on the nokia IP440 (no idee how)
and all should be working fine.
Wath about the VPN configuration, could i use the certificate for both ?
If this is not correct could someone give me the wright direction howto.
