Hi Peter,
There were a ton of Edge fixes around HFA07. Due to the ASN.1 issue, you
really need to get the gateway at HFA09 at least first. Then see if you
still have a problem.

Subject: [FW-1] Edge abd private IP address management
Date: Wed, 22 Dec 2004 12:34:51 -0800
Hi,
We have several Edge X series boxes. We also have HA
set up for our management stations. The primary
management stations has a private IP address, and has
NAT set up to it's public IP address. The secondary
management station has a public IP address with no NAT
required.
When we first set up an edge box we connect it to the
public IP of the primary management. The edge box
will authenticate fine, and download it's
configuration. Once it has it's configuration it then
sends SWTP_SMS traffic to the private ip of the
primary, and the public ip of the secondary. So it
can never communicate with the primary.
This creates endless problems. Any ideas on how I can
get the edge box to talk to the primary? We are
running on Redhat 7.3 R55, HFA_03 for the firewalls,
and HFA_09 for the management. The edge boxes are
running firmware 4.5.64
THX,
Pete Goodridge
