And the main point of my reply seems to have gone unnoticed - is there an
HFA release notification system? There is not, at least according to the
Checkpoint tech support person I spoke with.

Off the top of my head, I'm thinking a low-tech workaround is to script out
some automated parsing of wget returns to trigger an email when an new HFA
is available. But we'll have to see how it goes. If it works, it might get
close to knowing the "release date" Matt mentions. Or would it? What would
satisfy the "stability" requirement?

Regards,

Ron

Arrrrgghhh! ;-)

All this started with me asking about HFA's (notice I am doing the
apostrophe on purpose now, heh!). If anyone still cares, I think we are
going to go with HFA12, and wait a couple of weeks before doing so. I
never
did find out a way to determine release dates, stability, etc. This would
be a great idea for someone with a site to do, though, as many people
expressed interest! Check Point, are you listening??

Sooooooooo... a lisp, an eclipse, a ellipsis, or an ellipse - thank you
for
the clarification. ;-)

Actually, you're talking about an "ellipsis".

An ellipse is a special kind of curve, see the link:
