Hi,

I want to set alert mechanism through email for various alerts
(smartdefense) to firewall administrator mailbox.

eg: for port scanning (An excessive number of attempts to connect to ports
on a specific destination IP address from the same source IP address have
been detected)

Note: The administrator mailbox is on a seperate mail server.

I have figured out that there is a setting in the Global properties
(Log/Alert) for setting mail. I tried but Iam not receiving any email
alerts. I guess there is some syntax error.

By the way I am using R55 firewall on secureplatform.

Cheers
Naseer
