There are many deployments of internal firewalls and R55W should be a good
choice for you or infact you may like to look at CP's Interspect as a
solution that may be better to your specific environment.

Subject: [FW-1] Internal Firewall Implimentation

We are thinking of using checkpoint as an internal firewall to protect an
internal server farm.
We are thinking of 2 implimentation optionss:

1. Moving the server farm onto seperate switches from our core switch and
fronting those switches with a checkpoint firewall.

2. Create a PVLAN on our core switch and front that PVLAN with a checkpoint
firewall.

My questions are: Has anyone used a checkpoint firewall as an internal
firewall? If so, how was it implimented? Also, does anyone have any comments
or suggestions about the two implimentation options I have listed above?
