I would like to build a checkpoint log-only server (aka CLM) on SPLAT
R55W. After installing SPLAT, I run sysconfig or cpconfig, it gives
me an option to select both VPN-1 Pro and SmartCenter. It will not
let me select only SmartCenter. Then in the next screen, it let me
select "log server". After that, it goes on and does it thing and
ask me to reboot after that. When it comes back, I can see it has
both the SmartCenter and Enforcement module. I verify this with
cprod_util and the value comes back as "1". Furthermore, I can not
even ping the box unless I do a "fw unloadlocal" which tells me that
this box also has enforcement module in it. Anything, it didn't
present me with an "activation key" which is used to SIC between the
log server and the SmartCenter server.
I've installed numerous times log-only server (CLM) in NG Feature
Pack 3 SPLAT without any problems. In Feature Pack 3, during the
"cpconfig", it asked me if I want to install "enforcement module",
"management server" or "enterprise log server". It is very easy in
NG FP3. Is SPLAT in R55 or R55W any different than FP3 in term of
Enterprise log server?
How can I install log-server only in R55 or R55W? Please help.
