Hi,
I am experiencing a problem with one of our Nokia IP710 firewalls at the
moment and Nokia TAC have requested (amongst other things) a copy of the
cpinfo command from my management station. The IP710 is running IPSO 3.8
Build 039. The management station is running Windows Server 2003 (pre-SP1)
and Check Point VPN-1/FW-1 NG with AI R55. I have updated the cpinfo utility
to that which is currently available from Check Point.
The problem I am now experiencing with cpinfo is as follows. If I run it
from a command prompt on the management station, it runs fine (it takes some
time, but it completes and I can see the detail flying by in the command
prompt window). I want to be able to capture this output in a zipped file,
so I then attempted to run cpinfo with the following syntax:
cpinfo ?z ?o cpinfo.out
This fails to complete as per cpinfo with no command line switches. The
messages I receive are as follows:
cpinfo (I:0110): Beginning ?
cpinfo (I:0116): Latest cpinfo build:
http://www.checkpoint.com/techsupport/downloadsng/utilities.html#cpinfo
cpinfo (E:0100): Operating system not recognised (NOTE: I get this message
even when I run cpinfo with no command line switches) Unable to open
?\Device\FW1?: The system cannot find the file specified.
I have also tried piping the screen output from cpinfo directly to a file,
and I receive the same error as above.
Does anyone have any ideas??
Many thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Neil
