What are you trying to accomplish? you can put additional parameters in
fwkern.conf so that
windows machine can ping both the clusterXL and physical IPs of the firewall
at the same
time, like this:
fw_allow_simultaneous_ping=1
Furthermore, if you want your SPLAT to use more than 1GB of RAM, you need to
add the
following line in fwkern.conf as well:
fwhmem=0xaaa0000
save the file and reboot the box.
In summary, the fwkern.conf file will look like this:
fw_allow_simultaneous_ping=1
fw_smem_use_alternate_malloc=1
fw_hmem_use_alternate_malloc=1
fwhmem=0xaaa0000
you may want to add a parameter to allow PPTP across the firewall; however, if
you are
running HFA_10 or higher, you don't need it. I am running R55w so I don't need
that parameter.
