Up untill now I have a VPN-1 Edge X 16 working behind a Thomson (Alcatel)
Speedtouch 570i DSL router, where the Thomson logs-in to the DSL en does NAT.
This works OK but I want to remove te NAT in front of the Edge 1 as a want to
experiment with Site-to-Site VPN's. So now I've got a basic DSL modem, T-Com's
Teledat 331 LAN (Zyxel Prestige 650M), but I can't set up a PPPoE connection a
required by my DSL provider, the Edge 1 keeps saying it's establisching the
connection......but doesn't connect. The logs aren't helpfull at all...there no
info in there....
The modem works fine when I use a Windows XP system to connect with PPPoE. I've
tried firmwares 5.0.50 and 5.0.73 neither worked...
What am I doing wrong, PPPoE configuration is pretty simple, right, just enter
username and password and go.....or no go in my case....what could be the
problem here?
