I am currently investigating an issue with Securemote 4.1 SP5 - 3DES, with a
3com ADSL router. The Firewall is running NG FP3. ( User has also tried using
R56 Securemote client but problem still persists) . Prior to this problem
Securemote was used with bt-yahoo over 512k pipe, only recently when the user
upgraded to 2Mb, the problem started and Securemote Ceased to work. The user
authenticates, but still unable to access network resources. and then returns
authentication failure error.
Also, error message showing in checkpoint tracker are "tcp sequence validator,
dropped packet with invalid ack nos", tcp packet out of state.
Could this be an MTU issue, i've asked the user to download DRtcp to change the
MTU size on the securemote, as vpn tunnels add extra protocol overheads to the
MTU.
Pls advise on a fix,
