It's standard ucd-snmpd so you could logon to SPLAT over ssh, go to expert mode
and look at snmpd.conf in /etc/snmp. I guess it'll look somewhat sane if you say
you can get a list of interfaces. You could run the snmpd in debug mode and have
it log to console by first stopping it (one way is to "/etc/init.d/snmpd stop")
and then "snmpd -D -f" in the console. After that try to snmpwalk the SPLAT
machine locally or from some remote host, or do something with Solarwinds'
software
and see if anything is written in the SPLAT console where you have snmpd
running.
"snmpd -h" will show the right command line if my -D -f doesn't work as
expected.
So far I haven't had any problems with ucd-snmpd on SPLAT or on any other
platform.
