On my side I have recovered from my last DB revision control, upadated SDEF,
checked "Malformed PNG"
save and install policy and everything is fine now. Most probably Checkpoint
has corrected the corruption since.

mick has a solution - try that:
Uncheck "Malformed PNG" in Content Protection in Smart Defense.
Find "updates.def" in your Smart Center Server. On my Windows 2003 system
it is in:
C:\Windows\FW1\R55\lib\ and copy "updates.def" to something like
"updates.org"
Edit "updates.def" and look for "deffunc png_block()" You should find four
instances. Rename the first two instances of png_block() to something
else. I renamed them to png_block1() then save the file.
You should be able to push policy, albeit without protection against
malformed PNG files.
