RE: SmartDefense update crashes policy compilation.
On the SmartCenter Server
1. Close all GUI clients (SmartDashboard).
2. Run the GuiDBedit, by running the following program:
C:\Program Files\CheckPoint\SmartConsole\R55\PROGRAM\GuiDbedit.exe
3. In the upper left Tables tab, select the Table > Managed Objects > asm
branch.
4. In the upper right pane, select the AdvancedSecurityObject object.
5. In the lower pane, find the property with the name
"asm_update_version".
6. Double-click the asm_update_version property entry.
7. In the Edit dialog box, enter "-1" in the Value field.
8. Click "OK" in the Edit field.
9. In GuiDBedit, select File > Save All.
10. Select File > Exit to exit the GuiDBedit.
11. Issue cpstop
12. Now, on the SmartCenter machine. Go to the $FWDIR/conf directory and
rename inspect.C to inspect.C.bad 12. Log in to SmartDashboard.
13. Issue cpstart
14. Execute the SmartDefense Update.
15. Re-push policy.
