what does your fw1 log say? try to uncheck all smtp settings in
smartdefense....

Subject: [FW-1] mime attachment strippe
Hi ,
we use a FW1 R55 AI (HFA13).
In the Firewall a smtp resource ist configured to allow only email to our
domain.
In the smtp resource there is no action1 and action2 and no CVP configured.
in SmartDefense "Application Intelelligenc / Mail / mail and recipien
content/ perform agressive mime stripe" is NOT crossed.
But in the last few weeks we got different emails where the attachment are
sripped by the firewall (<< MIME_ATTACHMENT_STRIPPED >>)
(the emails are newsletter but the they are clean and if not we have some
other tools where they would be stripped.)
Does anyone have an idee, where I can stop the FW to strippe the
attachments?
