I was looking at the IP130 which has 256MB RAM, and is supposed to
support NGX. I thought the IP120 has 128MB RAM and doesn't support NG?
The 130 is supposed to be a lot better. Yes, the 120 has 128 MB but it does
support NG AI. In fact the replacement box Nokia shipped me when a hard
drive failed had IPSO 3.8 & R55P preinstalled.
It's 2 bonded T-1s (3Mbps) with only 1 low-usage public web server behind
the router, although plenty of back and forth Windows traffic is used over
IPSec between the router and other firewalls, and some P2P which is hard on
the router's CPU. There are basically 2 Class C VLANs behind the router,
1 is for phones and doesn't traverse.
The 130 should be fine. My 120 is an internal firewall on a 100 M/bps LAN
and the throughput is OK.
