Have you tried to cycle the audit log?
Could be that its corrupt somehow.

Every time we try to save the policy in the gui, we get the following
error message in the fwm.elg file:
Failed to send audit log with err 0x80004005
Has anybody ran into this problem? We are running NG R55 hfa_16 on
splat.
