Hi,
I received a HP DL 320 G3 (with SATA Controller and one disk), and I can
install NG AI R55 HFA_12 on it :
it starts booting on the CDROM and I see "Loading" and making "Loading
ramdisk" then machine seems to freeze (Verr Num, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock
doesn't want to change).
I try to change many parameters from Bios without success.
CDROM "SecurePlatform NG with AI (R55) Hardware Compatibility Testing Tool"
make the same thing.
I also try to boot on NGX CDROM (an old one, before HFA_01 for NGX) and it
works. But ... (there is a 'but') it doesn't detect the onboard "Intel
6300ESB/82801FR SATA Controller" because it says there is no disk to install
OS. The two network devices are approximatively well because there were
detected, but the NIC 1 (eth0 detected) are still showed "down" even if it's
well negociated on the switch (and the LED show good). Hope, it is only a
driver problem and not a hardware one (I think I will try to install
Windows, to test this Network Interface).
Conclusion: as the NGX Media boots up, I think I will wait for NG AI R55
HFA_16 Media CDROM to test it again.
Note: Intel 6300ESB and Intel 82801FR SATA Controller are recommended by
Checkpoint for NG AI R55 :
http://www.checkpoint.com/products/supported_platforms/recommended/ng/index.html
even from 17-Aug-2005.
Hope it will helps you.

Happened to me.
Loading R55 from a CD that had R55 with HFA12 built in solved it.
I assume that when you wrote that you loaded SPLAT on these server before,
it was a different version, or something else was different on them.
