I've just installed HFA01 on a clean Solaris 10 install with the latest
patch cluster installed except for patch 117461-x (as pointed out by Jon
Bagshaw). So far so good. I didn't manage to get the backward
compatibility installed yet.

Beats me. Our vendor's tech support couldn't find anything related to
Sol 10 in the knowledgebase.
