I've heard several people now say things along the lines of this - i.e. installing any other package will void your support. However, I haven't been able to find any documentation from Check Point that confirms this. I have had conversations with Check Point engineers, who have told me that I should be able to install (e.g.) the HP management agents on SecurePlatform. They won't directly support the agents themselves, but it does NOT void your support. Which seems entirely reasonable to me.

Can anyone provide a link to a statement from Check Point saying that the installation of any other package on SecurePlatform will void all support for that system?

Subject: [FW-1] SecurePlatform on VMWare ESX: compile vmware-tools
drivers

    Hello,

I'm running a SecurePlatform (R55 - build 110 - HFA 17) on a VMWare ESX server and the vmware-tools are required to get better memory and time
management on Linux and also a clean shutdown from ESX management
tools.

I got RedHat 2.1 perl and tools required to run the vmware-tools
installer but I failed to compile loadable kernel modules as far as I
do not have the exact configured kernel source tree for the running
kernel 2.4.9-42cp

Where can I get that kernel sources ?

Thank you in advance for your help
 Regards,
